Christmas
I'm a little late on this post. Ryan has been home from school so we are just trying to have a lot of fun and do things since it's going to be crazy again starting next week...Our Christmas was really awesome. Although I missed being with my family, we had Ryan's side of the family come from Texas and spend the holidays with us.We had a big yummy dinner together on Christmas Eve (that's the actual Christmas Day in Europe) and opened our stockings after dinner since we open all of our presents in Europe after dinner that day. Then we played games and stayed up way too late :o).
We woke up a little late on Christmas day due the slumber party that happened the night before, ate breakfast and got on Skype with my family so they can watch her open her presents. She got spoiled like she always does. She loves her new outfits, play kitchen, princess tent and everything else Santa brought.
I can't believe another Christmas came and went. We'll be celebrating Kaylee's second birthday in just 2 short months. It seems so crazy to me. Now we are just about to welcome the New Year of 2011 that's going to bring us another sweet little girl into our family, a college degree, Kaylee's very first cousin and many more adventures I can't wait for. Hope everybody's Holidays were filled with love and time spent with family and those close to your heart. Have a happy New Year!!

Last couple of days....
....it has been warmer so I wanted to take advantage of it and took Kaylee to the park a few times. She LOVES to go outside. We only lasted about an hour because it's still not warm enough for us to spend the whole afternoon there and by the time we got done her little nose and hands were ice cold. But she enjoyed herself which always makes me happy :o)

SISTERS
Kaylee is a very lucky girl to be getting one in May!!
That's right! We are having a GIRL!!
I know sisters have a special relationship. I don't have a brother so I can't really compare it but me and my little sister are truly BEST FRIENDS. The love we share between us is out of this world and we really would do anything for each other. I'm so happy for my sweet Kaylee that she will have her own little best friend forever. Her little sister to play with, fight with, cry with, get into trouble with, talk about boys with, get manis and pedis, shop and do almost everything with. I'm so happy and can't wait to have this little girl here with us in few months!

Happiness
Her beautiful eyes say:
"I'm happy."
"I'm loved."
and
"I too, love."
She is gorgeous.
My happy little girl.
I love her to the moon and back.
Twice.
Let it snow
We woke up to this this morning. How beautiful...
And we couldn't resist and took the sled out. Kaylee wasn't big enough last year to really enjoy snow so we wanted to show her how much fun it can be! Oh she really enjoyed herself. That girl loves to be outside no matter how cold it is (which kind of drives me crazy because I have to deal with hysteric crying when I say it's been enough and get her in the car because she is shivering...). Kay also loves to go feed the ducks on campus. She always runs around yelling "ducky" and chases the heck out of those poor things. But hey, at least she has fun right?
sometimes she helps herself to a slice :)
It was great to spend the last day Ryan gets off all three of us together. I really loved having him home for few days. He makes me happy. He loves his girls so much and sure spoils us. Christmas can't get here fast enough so we can have him all to ourselves for almost three weeks!

Santa came early this year.....
....and he brought us this beauty. I have been wanting one for a while so you can only imagine how happy I am. My husband really loves me (he is the Santa). Thank you honey for spoiling me. I don't even deserve it. I can't wait to learn how to really use it and take some amazing pictures and videos of our family!!
This is the first picture I took. Yes, I have a LOT to learn...... but I love it already.

26
Ryan turned 26 on November 3th! We had a great day together (at least I hope it was great for him), however I didn't make him a birthday cake on his actual birthday day-which was the very first time in 4 years, because our sister in-law Sabrina celebrates her B-day on the 6th (Happy birthday again) and they came over on Friday so I decided to just make one on that day.
Friday was a crazy day. Ryan wanted a red velvet cake so I bought a box like week early. He didn't know his siblings were invited to come over that day so I couldn't really start preparing anything until he was on his way to school and just when I needed him out of the house early morning his first class doesn't start until 11am! So the second he drove off I start baking. I decided to make two 10 inch round pans because I thought it would look better. I used up all of my cake mix on one because they are quite big. So I went to the store to buy another one while the first one cools off. You are no going to believe me, but 2 and a half hours later we returned back WITHOUT the red velvet cake, because for some strange reason I couldn't find it in ANY store that's somewhat close to our house and drove around Provo for a while before giving up. Then I couldn't find any decent strawberries in the closest store to our house so over to Sam's club we went. Picked up some pizza and blackberries as well and off to the store to get a whole another cake. I grabbed the chocolate mousse one which was a great idea because it ended up tasting like heaven with all those chocolate covered strawberries!
But back to the story. I get home to a disaster of course little before 3pm. Everyone is suppose to be here at 4. Great. I could really use some magic right now. Kaylee is playing on the back yard and starts smiling a saying daddy. Crap. Ryan is home an hour early! I'm covered in chocolate and flour, there are strawberries all over the counter, cake in the oven....the surprise is ruined. Oh well.
He was nice enough to take Kaylee to the park so I can finish everything which helped so much. I moved the party to 4:30 and got done one minute before his sister showed up!
I still don't know how I baked those two cakes, covered all those strawberries in chocolate, cooled them, decorated the cake and cleaned in hour and a half but I did. I guess I do work some magic after all :o)

Happy Birthday again honey, I hope it was a good one. We love you to pieces and want you to know that we are two super blessed girls to have you in our life.
Kisses,
Kaylee and Erika

Better late than never
Yes, I'm talking about Halloween. A week late, but I really want to document this. It was Kaylee's second one but the first one she got to really enjoy because she was still kind of young last year.
I took her to Macey's grocery store in the morning because they were having trick or treat bags for kids and also free balloons which Kaylee is OBSESSED with. Then we went to feed the ducks on campus because Ryan was at work until noon. We came home to put her down for nap and then off to the mall we went. It was busy but so fun. And by the time we came home it stopped raining so Ryan took her trick or treating around our neighborhood and we still have candy in our house from that day :o).
I really think Kaylee had a good time. She was super cute in her BYU cheerleader costume. I couldn't get over how perfect she is.
Hope you all had a good one! Here is proof that my daughter is the cutest cheerleader there ever was ;o)
(she did have pom poms which by the way took me like 2 hours to make, but didn't care for them that much to carry them around. )

Loosing my mind
Ever since we came back to Utah, Kaylee's sleeping schedule and/or habits are hmmm how would I say it.....NON EXISTENT!!
She use to be put to bed wide awake every single day for her nap and bet time at night. Never had any problems with it. Fell asleep without making a single noise and slept for 2 hours every afternoon and for at least 11 hours at night without waking up once. She actually was sleeping through the night since she was 5 weeks old. No lies. I'm serious.
I curse the day we moved into our apartment in Provo because she will not get near her crib when the nap time is here and forget it at night as well. I tried to leave her there to cry it out over and over again and she screams/cries so much that she ends up throwing up. It's not a spit up, it's all over the carpet (because she is standing up holding the rails), all over her sheets, the crib rails and her. So then we have a half an hour process of cleaning everything and giving her a shower and by the time it's all done she is wide awake and I can forget even that half an hour nap. NOT WORTH IT!!!!
So she gets to fall asleep on the couch watching a kid movie. Sometimes I dare to move her to her crib and some days it works out great and some days it ends her "nap".
This all sounds bad enough right? Well I'm not finished. When the night time comes and I'm beyond exhausted from not taking a break all day long, going to the park, doing laundry, dishes, cooking, coloring, reading, showering, grocery shopping and million other things (and on top of that my husband leaves the house early in the morning to go to school and usually returns at night and does homework until 2am) she seriously runs around the house with her shopping cart or a stroller, jumps on the couch, chases the dog around....she is full of energy driving me insane. Then she FINALLY get tired around 11pm (the earliest) so she lays down on the couch to watch Shrek or something, I'm asleep right next to her 10 min later and my husband is waking me up past midnight telling me to go to bed. She eventually falls asleep and is moved to her crib. Couple of hours later she is screaming for dear life, is moved back to the couch where she falls asleep and stays until the morning comes. Wakes up between 6-8am and I'm ready to pack my things and book a week at the extended stay.
I have NO idea what happened during that move but as much as I was excited for the summer to be over and be back in Utah I curse that day now and wish we never came back.....

Loving this weather
We weren't able to go to the park and play outside all summer long because it was too hot so we have been going every single day since we got back to Utah. Kaylee loves it. Especially the swings. She'll go on the baby one here and there but her most favorites are the "big girl" ones. She'll sit there forever and I just push her. We are not excited for the winter to come. Hopefully in won't for a while....
Kaylee got her cute purse from gma Carol a couple of weeks ago and won't leave the house without it. She has some fruit bubble gum in there (which she LOVES), strawberry chap stick, cell phone, pink nail polish and a necklace. She is such a girl! I love it!
