15 months

I know I missed the 14 months post due to moving and all the other stuff that was happening around us so sorry Kaylee. I won't miss any in the future, I promise :o).

So, 15 months... Kaylee is skipping her check-up (well not really skipping it, it's just postponed till August) because when we did her vaccinations in Washington last summer, they didn't put it in the same vaccination record book so when we came back to Utah, she got some of those shots again...I know. It wasn't nice of me to let that happened and I felt HORRIBLE about myself trust me. So her doctor said that it's ok to wait until August with this check-up and I will do just that. I will have her stats then so I'll share those later. And other that that, Kaylee is still happy, FULL of energy and I think she is a better eater too. Still a little picky but she does eat more. (no fruit or vegetables of course..that little stinker). She has been wearing 18 month size clothes since she was 12 months old and that still didn't change, although I do get some of her dresses size 24 months. Shoe size: 5 or 5 1/2. She also talks all day long, but most of it is Japanese :o).
I'm very very proud of her for falling asleep without making the tiniest noise when put into her crib wide awake every day for nap and at bed time. I never ever let her cry it out when she was younger (I know some of you think I'm a bad mom, but I don't care. My baby wanted me and I wanted to be there) so I thought she would never learn how to fall asleep all by herself but she just one day did it, so I kept putting her down every time she had to go to sleep and it has been working for quite some time now and I love it! It makes my life sooooo much easier! Thank you sweet Kaylee. She still takes only one nap a day, but she does sleep a bit longer that she use to, which I also like ;o).
Kaylee always loved making a huge mess and that one she still enjoys. I have lip stick, blush and shower gel marks all over the carpet, mine and her clothes are always pulled down from the hangers, ice cubes from the freezer are melting on the kitchen and living room floor, forks, spoons and spatulas are taken out of the dishwasher and left on the floor all over the house. Cans and other food items somehow travel from the pantry to our bedroom and the bathroom gets flooded every now and then when the water in the tub miraculously turns on by itself and switches to the shower mode while the curtain is wide open.... Yes, I have my hands full with little miss Kaylee. But it's so much fun to be with her all day. She also loves the pool. She jumps in without any hesitations and gets mad at me every time I take her out. There is a lot of kids to play with here this summer and it's great because she always enjoys hanging out with people her size ;o). And she really likes going for a walk. Well, I walk and she sits in her stroller. Right after i put her shoes on she climbs into her stroller, sits down in it and closes the safety bar and waits for me to get out the door. So cute. Her comfort blankie isn't a blanket but a cloth bib. Not a specific one, just any cloth bib will do for her and when there is few of them laying around, she has to have all of them. Funny.
And I guess that's about it. Kaylee continues to be the joy of my life and I hope I am the same for her.

What a life

I don't have to tell anyone that it has been pretty hot down here, so we have been doing a lot of this:

Just being cute

That's what she does best :)

Still loving her car

Kaylee has a lot of toys she is tired of after a week or two, but she sure still enjoys riding her car

Such a girl

I did mention once before how Kaylee loves to go into my closet and pull all the shirts/blouses/cardigans she can reach off the hangers. Than she picks her favorite, pulls it over her head and walks around the whole house being all stylish. I never took a picture of her making a mess in my closet but I did capture these ones:

cought!

After Kaylee's visit :)

What a helper

Kaylee has been so much fun lately. I'm not saying she hasn't been before, but she wasn't really picking up on the stuff I was doing and repeating in after me when she was younger. Now, she watches everything I do and tries to repeat it right after me. Like she walks around the house wearing my flip flops or I catch her going through my make-up and putting my lipstick on.... It's so cute.

Here is my sweet daughter helping me make cupcakes:

found mom's lipstick :)

New Orleans Zoo

We live in Baton Rouge, which is only 1hr and 20 min from New Orleans so we took a trip down there a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. Since we only had few hours (Kaylee needs her nap and stuff) we went to the Zoo only and boy did she have a blast! It was hot of curse, but Kay was happy to cool off in the water sprinkler and really enjoyed spending the day with both her parents which doesn't happen as often as we would all like...oh well, that's those crazy summers. New Orleans was great and we are planning on going back really soon!
Can you tell what a show off this monkey was? haha

The trip

So this year, since Kaylee is too old to sit in the car seat for 27 hours without going crazy and too young to be interested in TV for that long, we decided to take the easy way out of this and flew to Louisiana while dad and Coby went on a road trip together. Kaylee is not one of those kids who can sit still for longer than a minute so I was worried about flying with her without Ryan, but she did great. Slept for the most part on the flight to Dallas and stayed entertained the whole hour on our second flight to Louisiana. Thank you Kaylee.
Before I post a few pictures I want to thank Grandma and Grandpa Ranglack for letting us stay at their beautiful home for a few days after Ryan left. We always enjoy your company and food and can't wait to see you in few months!! We love you!
All of these pictures are from the SLC Airport. They have this aweome area with toys for kids and Kaylee had a good time waiting for the boarding time :)

Last month's happenings

Yes, the Internet is finally working. I can't even express the happiness I feel right now. Well let's start on the update shall we?
First of all, congrats to Ryan for getting another semester down!! His grades were great and I'm really proud of him for working and studying so so hard this past four months. He was busier than ever and did great.
After the semester was over, we moved of course....again! I tell everyone after each summer that that one was the last one, and it never is. Well this year we started summer number 4 and moved for the 9th time since getting married. No fun packing and unpacking every few months, but practice makes perfect so we are pretty much pros by now :). And I almost forgot to say where we moved to! LOUISIANA it is! This is my first time here and I really like it so far. The weather is perfect for us going to the pool every day, not so much for Ryan working all day long out there... I feel so bad for him sometimes. But I do appreciate him very much for all he does fr us.
We also found out we were expecting again, but couple of days before we moved out here we found out that the baby didn't have a heart beat and was measuring almost week late. Not exciting news of course and the timing was all wrong with all that stress from moving but things happen. We are sad, but we also know that worse things happen to people, and we are grateful that we have Kaylee with us and can't wait for more of those little Petterssons to come one day :).
Also my little and only sister is getting married next month and I'm so excited for her. She is my best friend and I love her so much. Congrats Bubu, I can't wait to see you on your big day!
I have a lot of pictures to post, s I'll break it into more posts with stories so I don't have an overload :)

Update coming soon

I have a lot to blog about and I will soon, we have been just having a hard time getting people hook up the Internet in our apartment and it should work on Monday. I'm not getting my hopes up anymore so we'll see. I have great pictures of Kaylee to show you so come back soon :o)
Have a great weekend!!
